Construction marketplace platform

Article 1 — Purpose

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Univers des Bâtisseurs platform, available at universdesbatisseurs.com. The platform is a matchmaking tool between clients and construction professionals. It is not involved in the execution of the works and is not a party to the contracts concluded between clients and professionals.

Article 2 — Definitions

• Platform: the Univers des Bâtisseurs website.
• Client: any natural or legal person looking for construction professionals.
• Professional: individual craftsman or registered company offering its services.
• Verified Pro: professional whose documents have been checked and validated by the administrator.
• Trust Score: indicator out of 100 calculated automatically according to several criteria.

Article 3 — Access and registration

Access to full features requires creating an account. The user undertakes to provide accurate information, to keep it accurate and to protect the confidentiality of their credentials. Any account may be suspended in the event of a breach of these Terms.

Article 4 — Roles and responsibilities

4.1 Clients

Clients can search for professionals, view profiles, send contact requests and post reviews. They undertake to post honest reviews and to use the platform in good faith.

4.2 Professionals

Professionals undertake to provide authentic information, to publish only real project work, to accept client reviews and to comply with the Professionals' Charter. Any breach may result in the suspension or deletion of the profile.

4.3 Administrator

The administrator reserves the right to validate, suspend or delete any content or account that does not comply with these Terms.

Article 5 — Review system

Reviews can only be posted by clients who have had real contact with the professional via the platform, or who have a site validation code. Only one review per client per professional is allowed. Every review is subject to moderation before publication.

Article 6 — Verified Pro subscription

The Verified Pro subscription is offered to professionals seeking enhanced visibility. The indicative rate is 5,000 FCFA/month or 50,000 FCFA/year. In V1, payment is made directly between the professional and the platform outside an integrated system. A secure payment system is planned for V2.

The subscription can be cancelled at any time, without penalty, with effect at the end of the current period.

Article 7 — Limitation of liability

The platform acts solely as an intermediary. It does not guarantee the quality, compliance or result of the work carried out by the professionals. It cannot be held responsible for disputes arising between clients and professionals, or for indirect damages resulting from the use of the platform.

Article 8 — Intellectual property

The content of the platform (texts, logos, graphic charter) is protected. Users retain ownership of the photos and content they publish, but grant the platform a non-exclusive licence to display them.

Article 9 — Amendments

These Terms may be amended at any time. Users are informed by email or notification. Continued use of the platform after amendment constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Article 10 — Applicable law

These Terms are governed by Ivorian law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance shall be submitted to the competent courts of Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
