The controller of the personal data collected via the Univers des Bâtisseurs platform is the publishing company, whose head office is located in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. Contact: contact@universdesbatisseurs.com.

Article 2 — Data collected

2.1 Data provided by the user

Identity: surname, first name, company name (professionals).
Contact details: email, phone number.
Identity documents and supporting documents: (for Verified Pros only).
Photos: profile and project work.
Published content: descriptions, reviews, messages.

2.2 Automatically collected data

IP address, browser type, pages visited.
Navigation and platform usage data.

Article 3 — Purposes of processing

Account management and user authentication.
Matchmaking between clients and professionals.
Verification of the identity and documents of Verified Pros.
Display of profiles and their Trust Score.
Sending notifications (SMS, email, WhatsApp) related to activity on the platform.
Content moderation and report management.
Platform improvement and anonymised statistical analyses.

Article 4 — Retention period

Data of active accounts is retained for the entire duration of the account's activity, then for 36 months after the last login. Verification documents (KYC) are retained in accordance with applicable legal obligations.

Article 5 — Data sharing

Personal data is not sold to third parties. It may be shared with:

Technical service providers (hosting, SMS/email sending) as part of their missions.
The competent authorities in case of legal obligation.

Phone numbers are masked by default and only disclosed to the client after an explicit action by the user (clicking on "Show number").

Article 6 — User rights

In accordance with the principles of personal data protection, every user has the following rights:

Right of access to their personal data.
Right to rectify inaccurate information.
Right to delete the account and associated data.
Right to object to processing for prospecting purposes.

Article 7 — Security

Technical and organisational measures are implemented to protect the data: password encryption (bcrypt), HTTPS connections, restricted access, logging of administrative actions.

The platform uses cookies strictly necessary for its operation (session, authentication). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used. The user can configure their browser to refuse cookies, which may affect certain features.

Article 9 — Amendments

This policy may be updated. Users are informed of any substantial change by email or notification on the platform.
